POSOCO is system operation arm of Government of India. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Powergrid Corporation of India Ltd. POSOCO is responsible for monitoring and operation of Indian Electric Power Grid. POSOCO operates through its load despatch centers namely National Load Despatch Center in Delhi, Northern Regional Load Despatch Center in New Delhi, Southern Regional Load Despatch Center in Bagluru, Easter Regional Load Despatch Center in Kolkata, Northern Eastern Regional Load Despatch Center in Shilong and Western Regional Load Despatch Center located in Mumbai.
