Newark E&P Operating, LLC

Newark E&P, LLC was a privately held company with financial backing from CCMP Capital Partners and Quantum Energy Partners. The company was newly formed in 2011 by former executives of ADEXCO Production Company and DTE Gas Resources, LLC. Newark E&P got its start in the Barnett Shale play, so the company was named after the field where oil and gas are produced from the Barnett Shale: the Newark East Field. At the heart of Newark E&P was an expert technical team with an average of over 20 years of individual experience in the petroleum industry and a proven track record of excellence in exploration, operations, and production of oil and natural gas properties, and acquisitions and divestitures. The size and unique technical capabilities of the team gave Newark E&P the ability to generate most of its projects in-house as well as to quickly and effectively evaluate new opportunities. Newarks team members were involved in the acquisition and development of more than a half-million acres and have drilled more than 300 wells in unconventional resource plays across the U.S., including the Barnett Shale in Texas, the Marcellus Shale in Pennsylvania, the Antrim Shale in Michigan, the Fayetteville Shale in Arkansas, and various Coal Bed Methane plays. Because of the well-established expertise of the team, Newark E&P was engaged as a technical consultant by domestic and international companies of various sizes to assist in evaluating oil and gas opportunities. We also maintained strong industry relationships with leading independent E&P companies of all sizes. In 2017, Newark E&P sold its assets to White Knight Production. The principals and staff of Newark have since moved on to pursue other endeavors in the industry.
