Nebras Power was founded in 2014 as a Qatari shareholding company through a partnership between the Qatar Electricity and Water Company Q.S.C. (QEWC), Qatar Petroleum International Limited (QPI), and Qatar Holding LLC (QH), all of which have had the experience investing in power generation and water desalination assets, not only in Qatar, but also internationally. Combining the resources, knowledge and experience of the three shareholders to create a dedicated state-backed vehicle for international power and water investments was the rationale behind establishing Nebras Power. Since its inception, Nebras Power has maintained an unwavering focus on achieving its strategic objective of investing internationally in power and water assets with an active role in operation and management. Nebras is interested in greenfield and existing power generation, water desalination, water treatment, district cooling and or heating projects, as well as fuel supply sourcing and fuel loading and or unloading facilities related to any power generation, water desalination and other related businesses.
