MW Power Oy was a joint venture by Metso and W�rtsil� and it provided medium and small scale power and heating plant solutions for sustainable energy generation. The company was acquired by Metso Corporation in 2012. In the demerger of Metso Group, the pulp, paper and power businesses formed the reborn Valmet Corporation in December 2013.
