International Water Distribution Co. (Tawzea)
The International Water Distribution Company (Tawzea) was founded in the last quarter of 2004 as a joint venture between two Saudi multinational giants, namely, AmiWater (owned by the Saudi Arabia Amiantit Group) and the Saudi Industrial Services Company (Sisco). The company was founded in order to take advantage of the vast experience AmiWater has had in global water management and Siscos expertise in the management of city services. Since inception, the company has had a strategy in line with its vision and mission and began to work on achieving the goals religiously, whether it was a moment of starting simultaneous projects of the industrial cities or launching privatization of water services in the industrial cities. The first fruits of this joint venture came up in October 2007 with the signing a distribution company contract with the Supreme Commission for Industrial Cities on the following footing: 1. the right to use for rehabilitation, operation, management and maintenance of drinking water in the First Industrial City in Jeddah. 2. the right to use for the rehabilitation, operation, management and maintenance of drinking, sanitation, irrigation and industrial water in the Second Industrial City in Riyadh. 3. the right to use for the rehabilitation, operation and management and maintenance of drinking, sanitation, irrigation and industrial water in the first industrial city in Qassim.
