Datch Offshore Entrance To Offshore Industry Scheme

The Datch Offshore Entrance to Offshore Industry Scheme has been created from years of experience and communication within the Oil and Gas industry. We headhunt skilled personnel from onshore industries and support and coach these individuals during their transition into the offshore industry. What we do is quite simple, we employ personnel from skilled onshore positions or skilled personnel who have been offshore through agencies but have struggled getting a foothold in secure, long-term employment. We subcontract them out with clients to gain offshore experience. We charge a reduced day rate for our personnel and use the profits to bring in third parties to coach them during their 18 months at Datch Offshore. Our progressive coaching system is used to monitor our personnel throughout the 18 months by way of a simple tick box scoring chart to be filled in by our client after each trip offshore or fortnightly onshore. Through communication with our clients we can help focus the coaching system specifically on the areas that the individual needs to develop themselves in. Depending on the position an individual is placed into, we monitor our personnels performance and have third party experts coach them on: Health and Safety Environmental awareness Quality awareness Following procedures Use of risk assessments Communication Team work Innovative thinking Skills specific ability Various certifying bodies i.e. DNV, ABS, Norsok Wire rope and fiber rope awareness After 18 months with Datch Offshore we hope that our clients will employ our personnel directly, we do not charge for the transition. If the client has seen a down turn in operations and cannot employ our personnel directly then we either continue to subcontract them after a day rate review or actively try to help our employee find full time employment with another company using their employment at Datch offshore as proof of offshore experience.
