The company started operations in 1994 with the construction of the Nejapa Power Plant in San Salvador, and the Acajutla Maritime Fuel Terminal . The initial investment of the company is estimated at over USD$171 million. Cen�rgica holds interests from IC Power, based in Lima, Peru. IC Power is 100% owned by Israel Corp.
